that white beard
shaggy white hair, never fooled
me, or anyone who had a heart
soul or active brain, you could
punch, counterpunch, swing a
roundhouse home run across
the eyes, bloody nose of a fool,
you always knew where the wind blew,
and if it was clean or dirty, and too often,
it was full of lies, but u cleaned it up,
fast
faster than a raygun, and u knew
what ronnie raygun was all about, that he
was a fraud, a senile actor, who fooled
too many, but never fooled you, nor
did the false history books stand up
against your sharp eye, heart and knife--
 
we shall miss you, but you are
still here and every time, we miss
a step or let ourselves be deceived, we'll
hear your voice saying, "come on, get
with it, you know better..."
 
and with you as our guide, we will
always know better
